Summer of 2010 Adventure Begins

June 12th. The Disney Cruise! After completing the final checks and clean up of our sold home, we pulled away from Tampa pulling a 35 foot travel trailer towards Seffner, Florida to spend the night at Lazydays Campground for a night prior to departing on our "final Florida surprise" (this was a total secret to the kids). We had talked about a Disney cruise for a couple of years since they are half price for Florida residents and it was now or never. So on Sunday the 13th we boarded the Disney Wonder for a five night Bahamas cruise. The stateroom was the first awesome pleasure, a nice family suite with a veranda. Other highlights were the two stops at Disney's private island called Castaway Keys, lots of photos with the characters, the chocolate covered Mickey Mouse ice cream bars available for dessert at every meal, and the nightly shows, which really were "magical." The final highlight came on the final night. As you know, the movie Toy Story 3 opened on June 18th. Well June 18th happened to be the day we were to disembark. But at 0001 on June 18th (that's a minute after midnight!) they showed the movie in both theaters. How could we say no?! So we bought treats and were some of the first in the world to see the movie Toy Story 3 and got to bed at just after 2:00AM. Great ride!
